How to get to the venue
HOW TO GET TO THE CITY BY PLANE
There is a train station located in the airport, directly under the Departure and Arrival Halls. The escalator or lift will take you directly to the platform (or into the airport), as shown in the image below. There are up to 8 trains per hour from and to Brussels. From the Central or South (Midi) station, you have multiple metro, tram, and bus lines that can get you to your hotel.
HOW TO GET TO THE VENUE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT FROM THE TRAIN STATION
From the Central Station (Gare centrale, Brussel Centraal): take Bus line 71 towards Delta and get off at the “ULB” stop. Enter the campus and go straight down to the end of the street. When you reach the Roosevelt avenue, turn right and walk 100 meters until you reach the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (green building).
From the South Station (Gare du Midi, Brussel Zuid): there are two options.
1) Take Metro line 2 or 6 (towards Simonis Elisabeth). Get off at the “Louise” stop and take Tram line 8 towards Roodebeek. Get off at the “ULB” stop.
2) Take Metro line 2 or 6 (towards Simonis Elisabeth). Get off at the “Porte de Namur” stop and Bus line 71 to Delta and get off at the “ULB” stop.
Once you reach the “ULB” stop, enter the campus and go straight down to the end of the street. When you reach the F. Roosevelt avenue, turn right and walk 100 meters until you reach the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (green building).
From the North Station (Gare du Nord, Brussel Noord): take Tram line 25 towards Boondael station and get off at the “ULB” stop. Enter the campus and go straight down to the end of the street. When you reach the Roosevelt avenue, turn right and walk 100 meters until you reach the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (green building).
HOW TO GET TO THE VENUE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FROM THE CITY CENTRE
The Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management is situated near the following stops:
– Tram line 8 and 25 – stop “ULB”
– Tram line 7 – stop “Cambre-étoile”
– Bus line 71 – stop “ULB”
PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKET INFORMATION
Most of you will arrive at the Brussels Midi train station. There, you have many connections with bus, tram and metro lines. You can purchase tickets at the ticket machines or sales outlets or pay contactless by validating your trip using your debit card, credit card, smartphone or smartwatch. Single tickets are valid for one hour and can be used on any bus, tram or metro. There are also 1-day tickets if you plan to make more than 3 trips the same day.
